There are thousands of ways to raise money for the Genesis Appeal. To get involved all you need is an idea - and that can be as weird and wonderful as you like. To start you thinking - here are just a few examples of what you could do.

Enter individually or as part of a group and compete our brand new event. For more information about this event please click here.
Paint One Fingernail Pink
Pay £1 to paint one of your fingernails pink and arrange for everyone else involved in fundraising to do the same. Your painted fingernail will signify the 1 in 10 women who will develop breast cancer during their lifetime, the Genesis Appeal hope to make it none in 10. Enjoy the summer !!
Make the most of the summer by having a Genesis 'Pinknic', Garden Party or BBQ for all your friends, colleagues and family. You could also ask your guests to each bring a friend, who may be unfamiliar to the Genesis Appeal.
Organise a Genesis Pink Day
Every person in your office or school can pay £1 to wear pink or a pink item for the day. Alternatively you could hold a simple casual clothes day.
Organise a glamorous Genesis Evening Event
We recommend that you decide on a theme e.g.
A Pink Diamond Dinner and Dance.
A Pink Ribbon Ball.
A Pink Cocktail Party.
A Pink Bollywood Evening.
A Shades of Pink Fashion Show.
A Genesis Pub Quiz
Why not organise a Pink Pub Quiz? All contestants must wear something pink, every question or answer must refer to something/someone pink and you could also arrange for a special Genesis Pink Cocktail to celebrate the evening.

A Pink Genesis Balloon Launch
Companies and/or Communities could arrange a giant balloon launch. On the arrange date, every person sponsors a pink balloon and at a specific time everyone simultaneously releases their balloons into the air.
Birthday and Anniversary Celebrations
Ask friends and family to make a birthday/anniversary donation to the Genesis Appeal on your behalf.
Compete in the Great Manchester Run or a similar sporting event
Why not compete in The Great Manchester Run or a similar marathon in your area. All you need is to register with the organiser, begin your training, set up a page on www.justgiving.com and tell everyone to sponsor you. For more information on Justgiving, please refer to enclosed sheet.
'Secret Santa' Christmas Donations
Agree with your colleagues that £1 from all Secret Santa presents is donated to the Genesis Appeal.
Client-to-Client Fundraising
During October, breast cancer awareness month, add a voluntary percentage onto your invoices, which will be donated to the Appeal.

Sponsor a Pink Christmas Tree Light
Many companies celebrate the festive season with a Christmas tree. Why not use this as a unique fundraising opportunity. Ask your colleagues to sponsor a pink light on the tree and the money will be donated to the Genesis Appeal, plus the tree will look fantastic.
